Duty call...

It was tuesday, 3rd jan 2006, that i resumed my duty as a lecturer (previously a tutor) at the dept of chemical and process engineering, UKM. I was actually feeling a little bit awkward, but i managed to pull meself together and tried to stay cool, calm and collected. The 1st thing was i went to see the head of our dept, PM Dr.Sobri and i had some briefings from him. And then i began meeting other lecturer colleagues, and some of them gave a few bombshells here and there about what to expect, what i need to know and so on.

But I have to wait for an office room for nearly 3 weeks. One lecturer colleague wanted to move into another office of our retired colleague and so, i had to wait for the transferring process...so basically i was floating around, wandering and resting somewhere and got noticed by such odd behaviour...what can i do? i dont have anywhere to rest my ass for more than 1 hour aint it...oh well, sabar jer laa for a while. And then lpas dah dpt office, nak install pc plak...and then internet access...haiiii macam2 la kan....i went to my old office during my tutor time to pick up whatever i left behind only to find out that some books are missing....

The only good thing was, almost everybody treated me well and were friendly enuf to give some heartwarming welcome....and that really helped me a lot!

Manal,
Hopped over from U Lee.
Since this site will be more for educational purposes, I will hang around here more to get myself educated. For your information, I am an old man who missed doing his tertiary education. You are right to say that education is a continous process. Only by death will one stop educating oneslef or even earlier when the brain is dead and the body is in the vegetative stage.
Please allow me to learn a thing or two from u.
